“Auto glass repair” covers six genuinely different jobs, and knowing which one you need saves both time and money. People often book a replacement when a repair would do, or ask for a repair when the damage has gone well past that point. Here is the whole range, what each one addresses, and what it starts at.
Each of these solves a distinct problem:

If you have a chip or short crack outside your line of sight, repair is the first thing to consider. If the damage is long, at the edge, or directly in front of the driver, it is a replacement. Water coming in or wind noise with no visible damage points to a seal issue rather than the glass itself. Fine scratching that catches the light — often from worn wiper blades — is a polishing job, not a glass job. Broken side or rear glass is body glass work, and usually cheaper and faster than a windscreen.

Our starting prices are the same across greater Sydney, with no call-out fee:
| Service | Starting From |
|---|---|
| Stone Chip and Crack Repairs | $110 |
| Windscreen Replacement | $330 |
| Body Glass Replacement | $165 |
| Resealing | $165 |
| Scratch Removal | $110 |
| Window Tinting | $250 |
The final figure depends on your vehicle, the glass specification and whether calibration is needed. We confirm it before starting. See what windscreen replacement costs in Sydney for a fuller breakdown.
Some jobs bring extra steps. A windscreen replacement on a vehicle with a forward-facing camera needs ADAS recalibration — we coordinate that with specialist calibration providers. Tinting is subject to NSW VLT limits, so the film choice is constrained by law rather than preference. And all of this can be done at your home or workplace under our mobile service. The full list of services is at our full range of auto glass services.

Size, location and type. Small contained chips outside the driver line of sight are usually repairable; long cracks, edge damage and anything in the driver view generally are not. We assess before starting.
Generally yes. Body glass replacement starts from $165 against $330 for a windscreen, and it is usually a quicker job with no adhesive cure wait.
That points to a seal problem rather than the glass. Resealing from $165 addresses it without replacing the glass.
Yes, across greater Sydney. The main constraint is weather — bonding surfaces need to stay dry, so a garage or carport helps on wet days.
